Description
Lubricants & Lubrication (Course# 302) has been pre-approved for 10 TCHs (1.0 IACET CEUs) of operator certification renewal continuing education training for both drinking water and wastewater operators by operator certification boards in multiple states including the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Wastewater Certification Committee and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Drinking Water and Ground Water Bureau.
Course Description
A complete lubrication training program, including functions and characteristics of lubricants, factors in selection of lubricants, and effects of additives. Oils, greases, and other compounds used for lubrication are described, as well as their applications. Lubrication methods and recommended storage and handling procedures are included.
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe functions and characteristics of lubricants
- Make proper lubricant selection for the application
- State the properties of oils, greases, and other compounds used for lubrication
- Describe lubrication methods and recommended storage and handling procedures
- Demonstrate this knowledge on a multiple choice final exam.

Students earn an official course certificate of completion for 10 training contact hours (1.0 IACET CEUs) of continuing education training by passing the final exam with a score of 70% or better.
