Most states require licensing of treatment plant operators, and many states require that these operators participate in periodic recertification training. Eventually all states will have this requirement. SkillWorks, Inc. assists operators by making available easy to understand home study materials whose Training Contact Hours and Continuing Education Units can be used to satisfy this recertification requirement. In most states, we report your successful results directly to the state reporting authorities. Our courses have received explicit approval from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Texas to provide recertification training to their operators. All SkillWorks courses carry the seal of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). SkillWorks, Inc. meets the Criteria for Certification established by the Certified Provider Commission of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, 1200 19th St., NW, Suite 300, Washington DC 20036-2401. Many states accept IACET approved CEUs for recertification credit without an explicit approval process. This is because IACET requires training companies to satisfy 12 criteria demonstrating competence in designing, implementing, and evaluating effective training programs.
